About Outback

Outback Construction, Inc. is a California Corporation established in April 2000. The officers comprise:

• Mattie Bunting—Secretary
• Jake Bunting—Vice President
• Nathan Bunting—Owner

Jake, Nathan and Mattie each have over 14 years experience in the construction industry. They are the inventors of Linecat and co-owners of Linecat, Inc.

Outback’s capabilities include excavation, erosion control, site work, driveways, roads, aerial and underground utilities, brush clearing, locating utilities, underground trenching and boring, and Linecat.

Outback is a certified minority-owned small business as well as a woman-owned business. The company was established in affiliation with Bunting Leasing, Inc., which owns all Outback equipment. Both Bunting Leasing, Inc. and Linecat, Inc. have exclusive contracts with Outback.

Experience

Outback has completed many projects for CalTrans, including potholing, bridge repair, rip-rap placement, culvert repair, and metal building erection. Outback is also on the master agreement list for SBC and AT&T, and has built and repaired numerous roads for Pacific Gas & Electric Company.

Equipment

Outback is capable of outfitting many crews with equipment and tools. The company’s equipment list comprises dozers, backhoes, excavators, graders, lowbeds, dump trucks, belly dumps, and water trucks. All Outback Construction equipment is well maintained and regularly inspected.

Outback has a General Engineering A License #781065, and is fully insured and bonded.

Safety Plan

Nathan Bunting—Head Safety Coordinator
Outback meets CalTrans and OSHA safety requirements. Each crew has a mandatory safety meeting every Monday, where they discuss new safety ideas and available training classes, and review any problems that have arisen during the preceding week. All employees are trained in the correct use of the equipment and vehicles they use. All foremen have CPR certification and first aid training.
